Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
B.Sc. Environmental Science or Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science is an Environmental Science undergraduate course. Environmental Science covers the study of
subjects like understanding of earth processes, evaluating alternative energy systems, pollution control and mitigation, natural resource management, effects of global climate
change, etc. The course covers the study of topics like Ecosystem Dynamics, Biodiversity Components, Natural Resources and Forest Management, Physico Chemical Environment, Environmental Techniques & Impact Assessment, Pollution Control, Industrial Hygiene, Radiation Protection, Hazardous Waste Management, Toxic Materials Control, Water Supply & Water Management, etc. The duration of this course is three years and the course is divided
into six semesters.
B.Sc. Environmental Science Eligibility
The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing a B.Sc. (Environmental Science) degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Some reputed colleges and institutes demand a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 as qualifying criteria to secure admission in this degree course.
Some of the reputed colleges and institutes also conduct entrance examination to get admission to their B.Sc. (Environmental Science) degree course. Selection to the degree course in these colleges is based on marks secured in the final merit i.e. total marks aggregated in the final exams of 10+2 and the entrance exam.
